An exquisite original hand-colored pochoir fashion plate from the prestigious 1930 edition of Trés Parisien. This piece showcases the transition from 1920s flapper styles to the elongated, ladylike silhouettes of the early 1930s, featuring evening gowns by the famed French couture house Chéruit. The pochoir is in a custom cut double silver and black mat. The illustration is hand-rendered on delicate, archival tissue paper, which is tipped-in at the top edge to its original backing card. The pochoir process—a labor-intensive French stenciling technique—provides a depth of color and "wet" look that standard lithography cannot replicate. Publication: Trés Parisien, No. 9, 1930 Designer: Louise Chéruit Medium: Hand-stenciled pochoir on tissue paper Dimensions: 5.75" x 9.5" (Image/Tissue); Outer cardstock approximately 7" x 10.75"; 11" x 14" Matted Condition: Exceptional vintage condition with vibrant colors. The minor creasing to the delicate tissue adds to its authentic 1930s character. Provenance: Acquired in Paris.
