Jurgen Reipka Op Art Screenprint, Konkrete Komposition. Neon green contrasts with blue and black in this bold composition on paper by Jurgen Reipka Limited edition, signed in pencil 28/50 16"W x 23"H paper, still on original cardboard backing and wrapped in cellophane as purchased. Never mounted, pristine condition. Refer to all photographs. About the Artist: Jurgen Reipka was a German Postwar & Contemporary artist who was born in 1936. Reipka studied from 1960 to 1963 at the School of Arts Bremen under Johannes Schreiter and 1963-1968 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich with Josef Obernberger where he was a professor from 1973 and from 1976 to 1979 its president. Reipka was a member of the German Association of Artists , the " New Group "Munich and the Presidium of the Exhibition Management Haus der Kunst in Munich. Starting in 1964, over 400 group exhibitions and solo exhibitions were held. His work is in several collections, including the Bavarian State Painting Collection, the National Collection in Stuttgart and the National Graphic Arts Collection, Munich . For the subway station Münchner Freiheit , he designed a 24-meter-long frieze, which extends along the southern side of the wall above the tunnel entrances. Reipka lived and worked in Munich and in parish churches, where he died on New Year's Eve in 2013.
