DCW (Dining Chair Wood) chair In walnut veneer. First generation chair produced by Evans Plywood Products in 1945 or 1946 (Herman Miller took over the production in 1950). This chair retains its original metal strip label. It is the earliest version of label aside the ones placed on pre-production chairs and dates it to 1945 or 1946. Surviving chairs from these years are extremely rare. Great collectors item. The chair is in original finish and comes with the original hardware and screws on the underside. The spine of the chair is a little bit twisted, so the seat is not perfectly horizontal. A tribute to the 80 years of history of the chair. Original patinated finish, there are some scratches on the seat panel. The shock mount of the back-panel has been replaced.
