A French wooden two-drawer chest with marble top from the 19th century. This antique chest from France has a rectangular shaped marble top, over case which houses two drawers, each fitted with beautiful Neoclassical style swag and bow-tie motif pulls flanking an escutcheon at their center. The skirt is clean and linear. It is presented upon four squared, tapering legs. The original marble top is charcoal/black with lighter grey veining. Please note there are some scratches to the marble. This 19th century French raised chest, just over 3 feet in width, would be a lovely and versatile case piece for your home, with decorative items atop and storage within.
